Sire: SPK Sunboy Rotan 150 Dam: DDF Matariki's Jazzi Blue Percentage: New Zealand Litter Size: Twin Birth Date: 1/22/2017 Birth Weight: 6.75 lbs Steel is out of our very first flush we did back in 2016 between SPK Sunboy Rotan 150 x DDF Matariki's Jazzi Blue. We decided to retain him and use him as one of our herd sires after seeing how well his first crop of kids grew. He typically throws kids that are small (5.75-7 lb) at birth and are very vigorous. His kids typically inherit his easy going attitude and are easy to work with. When it comes to weaning, his kids have high ADGs and wean at the top of their kid crop. Two of his bucklings were sent to the 2019 Langston Buck Test due to having ADGs of 0.50 or higher. One buck placed 29th out of 171 bucks on the ADG pasture portion of the test and the other placed 24th out of 71 bucks on the FEC feed portion of the test.

Sire: JFK Delilah's Dam: MJI Nani Percentage: New Zealand Purebred Litter Size: Twin Birth Date: 2/8/2016 Birth Weight: 7.4 lbs Dakota was purchased at the 2016 AKGA Breeder's Showcase Sale. She is by far our best doe on the farm due to her excellent parasite immunity, and mothering skills. Dakota has continually produced for us low birth weight kids that wean with high ADGs. As a first freshener in 2017, she kidded a single buckling with no assistance. She was very attentive to him and had him nursing minutes after birth. Dakota hasn't singled since her first kidding and continues to produce twins. In the 2019 Langston Buck Test her buckling placed 24th out of 71 bucks in the FEC feed portion of the test.

This little lady comes from a repeat breeding where both of her full siblings weaned in the top of their class and maintained excellent famachas while on our farm.

Her sire Magnum Steel consistently produces kids that wean with high ADGs and have excellent parasite immunity. Her dam Dakota has been our most low maintenance doe on the farm, rarely falling below a famacha 2. She has also consistently produced low birth-weight kids that wean at the top of their wean group.
